Wisconsin, 1875. An old variety, hardy and long lived. Best known for its large size -- up to 5" diameter fruit. Color is pale yellow to green with carmine-red blushes and stripes. Primarily used as a cooking apple. Holds its shape well for baking. Can make a pink apple sauce.
