Hardy Cumberland

Hardy CumberlandA cross of Detroit Red and Lyons in 1961.

The fruit is medium large with a good crisp, sub-acid flavor, and juicy with a mostly sweet flavor  The flesh is white.  It is a bright red blushed apple over a greenish yellow background.

It is quite resistant to apple scab. Disease resistance is good and the tree is forgiving of pruning errors.
